Practice counter: open
Fresh boards, whenever you want them.
Swapcakes Unlimited turns the six-word grid into a practice room. Finish a puzzle, choose New puzzle, and a different board arrives immediately—no midnight reset, missed day, or streak to protect.
What Unlimited changes
The rules and fifteen-swap budget stay the same as the daily game. The difference is rhythm. A daily puzzle is one shared challenge with a date attached; Unlimited is an on-demand sequence for players who want another pattern to untangle. A new board is not a penalty or a restart of the current result. It is simply the next practice set.
Your current Unlimited puzzle is kept in this browser so an accidental refresh does not have to erase your work. When you deliberately request a new puzzle, the game chooses a fresh board and resets its moves. You can stop after one, work through several, or leave the tab and return later. There is no account, global ladder, or daily attendance requirement behind the mode.
Turn repetition into deliberate practice
Instead of racing every board, give each run one focus. On the first, protect all letters already correct along both axes. On the next, identify the row or column with the fewest unsettled positions and complete it before touching a messier area. Another useful exercise is to predict both feedback states at an intersection before making the swap. The result tells you whether your mental model was accurate.
Keep a rough eye on efficiency, but do not let the move count hide the lesson. A failed experiment can reveal why a duplicate letter looked available in one word but was already used up in another. If a board gets tangled, finish it slowly rather than discarding it. Recovering from an unhelpful exchange builds the same scanning skill that prevents one later.
Three habits that travel to every board
- Read complete lines first. A nearly solved word provides firmer information than a cluster of unrelated colors.
- Count repeated letters per word. Correct placements consume the quota before misplaced copies receive credit.
- Value intersections. A strong swap improves two lines or locks one line without weakening its crossing partner.
The detailed rules and strategy guide explains exactly how those clues are calculated and lists every supported control. Once the logic feels automatic, Unlimited becomes less about guessing and more about planning compact chains of exchanges.
No-pressure play is the point
Unlimited does not extend a daily streak or punish a day away. It exists for curiosity: test a theory, warm up before the daily puzzle, or enjoy another five-minute word break. The cleanest measure of progress is not a perfect record. It is noticing that you now see a protected intersection, a duplicate quota, or a two-for-one swap earlier than you did on the previous board.
