Swapcakes Daily is a small, satisfying word break built around a waffle-shaped grid. Return each day for one shared puzzle, solve the three words across and three words down, then compare the route you took with friends.
What you are solving
The board holds twenty-one movable letter tiles. They form three five-letter rows and three five-letter columns, crossing at nine shared tiles. Every letter you need is already on the board; there is no keyboard guess box and no secret word to type. Your job is to rearrange what is in front of you until all six lines become valid target words.
Select one tile and then another to exchange them, or drag a tile onto its destination. After each swap, the colors update. A settled letter is in the right position for that word. A warm clue says the letter belongs somewhere else in that word. An unhighlighted clue means that word has no remaining use for it. Because crossing tiles belong to two words, one tile can tell two different stories at once.
A useful first look
Before moving anything, scan for letters that are already correct in both directions. Those intersections are anchors: disturbing one may damage two words and spend a swap repairing the mistake. Next, look for an almost-complete row or column. If you can finish one word with a clean exchange, its confirmed positions shrink the possibilities in every word that crosses it.
Repeated letters deserve a pause. Feedback is calculated within each individual word, and the target’s letter count is a quota. If a word needs one R, only one misplaced R can receive the warm “belongs here” clue after correct positions are claimed. That rule prevents extra copies elsewhere on the board from pretending to help.
Play for information, not motion
A tempting swap is not always a useful swap. Prefer moves that settle a letter while revealing something about a crossing word. When two loose tiles appear to trade places directly, check both axes first; the obvious exchange may create a second correction for free. With fifteen swaps available, the puzzle rewards a calm plan more than rapid tapping.
